Wow, it's been a lengthy time since I submitted anything to DeviantArt; and an especially long time since I submitted any drawings (the last one was done when I was ten!). This is mainly because I had no scanner or any other method to upload pictures in any form. Well, I finally went out and bought myself a nice, cheap HP scanner that works pretty well (now, I just need to get the hang of it).
This picture was inspired by Gina Bigg’s Red String online comic, which is a story about fate and finding that one person who is at the end of your string. I’ve been a fan of Ms. Gina for quite sometime, and have enjoyed her work to such a wonderful degree.
Anyway, this piece consists of two Gaiaonline.com avatars. I did it of my own and my boyfriend’s (yes, the same guy I went to the dance with; almost been a year...). Our relationship is very friendly and has never gone farther than a kiss on the cheek (as of yet). So, for both characters to be nude was a last-second decision. I never really attempted to make an artist nude drawing, but the body poses were so prefect; I felt clothes were ruin them. So, in the end, I add what little you see now. Also, lastly, the bracelet around my avatar’s (Kanashimi) right wrist is the silver bracelet that my boyfriend got for me on the last V-day. I felt adding it there would be a nice touch.
I must say, I love this so much. It’s so soft; however, I don’t know if I’ll actually show Tim this one. Might make him blush a bit since the two of us are without garments; but the piece was more for symbolism itself---I’m not insisting or inquiring anything and I want you all to know that.
Ah, yes, I should explain the string being on the pinkie finger instead of the ring finger. This was done purely because we are not engaged or married (only 15 here people...). Anyway, it didn’t look that good on the ring finger since his is bent away, while mine is pressed against another finger---so yeah.
